Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Willpoint Technologies ("Willpoint," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and otherwise processes information when you use Dancr (the "App"), a mobile application that serves as a client for ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 video-generation model and related AI models made available through third-party API providers.

This Policy applies to the Dancr mobile application distributed through the Google Play Store and any related services that reference this Policy (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading or using Dancr, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Quick summary. Dancr does not require you to create an account or provide a name, email, or password. When you first open the App, the device generates an anonymous User ID that lets us deliver generations, manage your credits, and prevent abuse. The prompts, reference images, audio, and video clips you choose to submit are sent to third-party AI API providers (such as fal.ai, Replicate, or BytePlus ModelArk) so they can run ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 model on your behalf and return the generated video. Those providers — and ByteDance, as the model owner — independently process your inputs under their own terms and privacy policies.

1. Who We Are

Willpoint Technologies is the developer and publisher of Dancr. Dancr is an independent third-party client and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ByteDance Ltd., Douyin, TikTok, fal.ai, Replicate, BytePlus, or any other API provider. "Seedance" and related marks are the property of their respective owners.

2. No Accounts — How Your User ID Works

Dancr does not offer sign-up, sign-in, or password-based accounts. You do not provide us with a name, email address, phone number, or social login.

Instead, the first time you open the App, Dancr generates a random, pseudonymous User ID and stores it on your device. The User ID is associated with:

  • Your generation history within the App;
  • Any credits or paid entitlements you purchase through Google Play Billing;
  • Rate limits and abuse-prevention signals.

The User ID does not by itself identify you personally. However, if you clear the App's data, reinstall the App, or switch devices, your User ID — and the history and credits associated with it — will typically be lost, because we have no other way to recognize you as the same user. This is an intentional design choice to keep the App account-free.

3. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Through the App

  • Generation inputs (user-generated content). Text prompts, reference images, audio clips, video clips, style selections, and other content you submit in order to generate or edit video using the App.
  • Purchase information. If you buy credits or other paid features, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive a purchase confirmation and transaction identifier tied to your User ID; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
  • Support and feedback. If you email us, we receive the content of your message and the email address you sent it from.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • User ID — the pseudonymous identifier described in Section 2.
  • Device and app information — device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, and similar technical attributes.
  • Other identifiers — where permitted, an advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID) that you can reset or limit through your device settings.
  • Usage and diagnostic data — screens viewed, features used, session duration, crash reports, and error logs. This helps us fix bugs and improve the App.
  • Approximate location — we may infer a coarse, country-level location from your IP address for routing, analytics, and compliance. Dancr does not request precise (GPS) location.

C. Information From Third Parties

  • Google Play — installation and purchase confirmations.
  • Analytics, crash-reporting, and anti-abuse providers — the usage and diagnostic signals described above.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the App, including transmitting your prompts and reference inputs to the API provider servicing your request and returning the resulting generated video to your device.
  • Associate generations, credits, and purchase entitlements with your User ID.
  • Process purchases and deliver credits and paid features.
  • Diagnose crashes, debug issues, and improve performance and reliability.
  • Understand how the App is used in aggregate so we can improve features and user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms or applicable law, including content that violates the safety policies of our API providers.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use the generation inputs you submit (prompts, images, audio, video) to train our own AI models. Whether our API providers or the underlying model owner use inputs for model training is governed by their own policies — see Section 6.

5. User-Generated Content and Generated Output

You retain the rights to the input content you upload, subject to our Terms. By submitting content to the App, you grant us and our API providers a limited license to transmit, store, and process that content solely to deliver the requested generation and to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

Generated videos are delivered to you through the App. Depending on your settings, we may store generations temporarily so they can be redisplayed in your in-app history; you can delete them from within the App. Generations may also be cached briefly by our API providers and infrastructure providers.

Inputs and outputs may be automatically screened for prohibited content (for example, content involving minors in sexual contexts, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other content banned by our API providers or by law). Content that is flagged may be blocked, retained for a limited period for review, and reported to authorities where required by law.

6. Sharing With API Providers and the Underlying Model

Dancr is a client application. The actual video generation is performed by third-party AI API providers running ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 model (and other models we may support). To deliver the App's core functionality, we share the following with the provider servicing your request:

  • Your prompt, reference images, audio clips, video clips, and selected model parameters.
  • A pseudonymous request identifier so we can match the response to your session.
  • Billing and rate-limit signals so providers can meter usage against our account.

We do not share your User ID, purchase history, or device identifiers with API providers.

API providers we currently use or may use include, without limitation: fal.ai, Replicate, BytePlus ModelArk (operated by an affiliate of ByteDance), OpenRouter, and other providers we integrate over time. These providers are independent controllers of the data you submit through them. They may, in turn, share inputs with ByteDance as the owner of the Seedance 2.0 model so the model can execute your request.

Each provider processes your content under its own terms of service and privacy policy, including with respect to logging, retention, safety review, and model training. We encourage you to review those policies before submitting content you consider sensitive.

7. Other Categories of Recipients

In addition to the API providers described above, we may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the App — hosting and storage (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers), analytics, crash reporting, customer support, and abuse prevention.
  • Payment and distribution partners — Google Play Billing processes in-app purchases.
  • Legal, safety, and compliance recipients — courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other third parties when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Willpoint, our users, or the public, enforce our Terms, or detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
  • Business transfer recipients — if Willpoint is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your direction or consent — for example, if you choose to share a generated video with a third-party service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the App and for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, and security obligations. Generation inputs and outputs stored in your in-app history remain until you delete them. Diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) and then deleted or aggregated. Retention by our API providers is governed by their own policies.

9. Data Deletion

Because Dancr does not use sign-in, the primary way to delete your data is from within the App itself:

  • Delete individual generations from your history.
  • Delete all Dancr data on this device — open Settings in the App and choose "Delete My Data." This removes your User ID, in-app history, and locally stored preferences, and submits a deletion request for server-side records tied to that User ID.
  • Uninstall the App — uninstalling, or clearing the App's storage in Android Settings, removes locally stored data. Server-side records tied to the User ID are retained only for the retention periods described above.

You may also email us using the address in Section 17 below, including your User ID (shown in the App's Settings screen) so we can locate your records. On deletion, we remove records associated with your User ID from our active systems; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period and in records we are legally required to retain (for example, transaction records for tax or fraud-prevention purposes). Content already processed by third-party API providers and model owners may be retained by them under their own policies and retention schedules.

10. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit between the App, our servers, and API providers, and access controls for our internal systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

Willpoint operates the App using infrastructure and API providers located in multiple countries. When you use Dancr, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you reside, including the United States and regions where our API providers operate. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access information we hold that is associated with your User ID and receive a copy.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of information associated with your User ID.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request portability of information you provided to us.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 17 below and include your User ID so we can locate the relevant records. Because Dancr is account-free, we cannot verify your identity beyond the User ID; if you cannot provide it, we may not be able to act on the request. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

EEA/UK users: the legal bases on which we process personal data are (i) performance of a contract (to deliver the App you requested), (ii) our legitimate interests (to improve, secure, and prevent abuse of the Services), (iii) consent (where we ask for it), and (iv) compliance with legal obligations.

California users: we describe the categories of information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, and the categories of recipients in Sections 3, 4, and 6–7 above. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

13. Children's Privacy

Dancr is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The App is rated and distributed on Google Play accordingly. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us using the details in Section 17 below and we will take appropriate steps to delete any associated information.

14. Permissions Dancr Requests

Dancr requests only the device permissions needed for its features. Depending on what you choose to do in the App, we may request:

  • Photos / Media / Videos — so you can select reference images or clips from your library to submit as generation inputs. You choose which files to attach; we do not read your library otherwise.
  • Microphone — if you choose to record an audio reference for audio-conditioned generation. Not used when you do not use audio features.
  • Notifications — so we can tell you when a generation has finished.
  • Internet access — required for communicating with our servers and API providers.

You can revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings. Some features may not work correctly when the related permission is denied.

15. Third-Party Content and Links

The App and this Policy may reference third-party services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be effective when posted at this URL, and we will update the "Last Updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by applicable law (for example, through an in-app notice). Your continued use of the App after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
